Topas Eco Lodge - Sapa
Deep in the spectacular Sapa valley sits Topas Eco-Lodge, a cluster of 25 individual bungalows perched atop a hill. The lodge offers sweeping views of cascading rice terraces and lush valleys of Sapa populated by Tay and Red Dzao ethnic minorities.
Topas operates in adherence with the tenets of responsible tourism. The bungalows are constructed from white granite sourced from a nearby quarry and roofs are thatched with palm branches. Solar panels tap the sun's rays to generate electricity and an on-site wastewater facility prevents pollution of the local environs. To channel maximum economic benefits back to the community, locals are employed and indigenous products and goods are used.
