The Mekong Delta, or the 'Nine Dragon River Delta', is the vast region in Southeast Vietnam where the Mekong River approaches and empties into the sea. Encompassing almost 40,000 square kilometers of Southeastern Vietnam, the Mekong Delta region is abundant with water, fruit orchards, and most importantly, rice fields. It produces about half of Vietnam's agricultural output and is the best place to experience the timeless scenery of farmers planting and harvesting rice.
On this overnight tour, cruise from Cai Be to Can Tho (or reverse). Travel and stay aboard the converted traditional wooden rice barge 'The Bassac' for as you leisurely explore the Mekong Delta. The boat's well-equipped cabins, complete with air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms, and attentive staff provide you with all the necessary comforts. The boat is entirely built of wood with the hull made from go sao, a now rare wood traditionally used for building quality ships. With a large restaurant, galley and upper deck, there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy the laid back rhythms of the Mekong Delta.

A brief but enchanting escapade from Hanoi. Discover the magic of Halong Bay on the grand Emeraude - an elegant replica of a paddle steamer dating back 100 years. It has all the modern comforts of today but captures the character of a golden age. On board, much attention has been paid to detail. The unique atmosphere of the boat will make this cruise a memorable sojourn. The Emeraude is more than a boat, it is an experience.
The mystical scenery of Halong Bay where thousands of limestone islands jut out of the sea, sculpted into bizarre shapes and surrounded by colourful floating villages is a truly wonderful destination. The perfect way to see this UNESCO World Heritage Site is to spend a night aboard a charming wooden junk or aboard the Emeraude, a replica of one of the grand steamers of the colonial era
